My interests lie in Machine Learning and Data Mining (esp. Information Retrieval, Recommender Systems, Semi-Supervised Learning, Clustering and Manifolds), Cryptography (Computer Security) and Social Psychology (esp. Criminology). I hold a PhD in Computer Science (I specialize in Clustering and Machine Learning) from the University of Colorado. I get excited about lots of different Machine Learning applications, read a lot of literature - currently a lot of social sciences stuff - from different fields and am generally more on the nerdy side of things at times

Otherwise I like to dance (mostly latin american dances or just clubbing), do horrible magic tricks and play pool.
